Model – UBH1200-C – Commercial Traction Drive

Load Capacity – 1,200 lb. Capacity

Framework – Galvanized steel posts support the power unit. The galvanized square tubing dimensions are 3½” x 3½” x 5/16”. Each post is cemented into the ground.

Rail System – 2” x 5”, 11 gauge rectangle tubing, galvanized or painted. The outside rail width is 45½”. The railing is assembled on-site and bolted together using Grade 8 bolts and is supported every 10 feet. 2” Schedule #40 pipe is galvanized and cemented into the ground. The track system is adjustable.

Spring Buffers – Compliant with Section A.17, 5.1 of the 2004 National Incline Elevator Industry Codes.

Carriage – The size of the carriage for this model is 51 1/2”W x 47 1/2”L x 84”H. It is built out of aluminum tubing and the floor is made of non-skid aluminum decking. The entire carriage is powder-coated in your choice of 4 colors: Metallic Silver, Charlie Brown, Spartan Bronze or Hunter Green; custom colors are also available. There is also a choice of entry/exit designs which include: right or left side entry/exit and sliding door with solenoid locking interlocks. All carriages include a canopy.

Landing Gates – The dimensions of the landing gates are 72” long x 84” high. They are built out of aluminum tubing and perforated aluminum and include solenoid locking interlocks which are UL Listed E304700 and compliant with the 2004 National Incline Elevator Industry codes A17.1, 5.1. The gates are powder-coated with your choice of 4 colors: Metallic Silver, Hunter Green, Charlie Brown or Spartan Bronze; custom colors are also available.

Cable – The cable used is galvanized aircraft cable. Double drive cable size is 3/8” with a 14,400 lb. breaking strength each.

Safety System – An over-speed governor and slack cable safety system applies pressure on the stationary cable with spring dampening..

Power Unit

  • The Elevator Control Panel is 508-A UL-listed and compliant with the AMSI/AMSE codes A17.1-2000 & A17.5-1996 and has a Nema 4 waterproof enclosure.
  • AC Drive with 5 HP motor for soft starts and stops.
  • Drive System has a 2 1/2” Pillow Block bearing and a 2 1/2” solid steel axle for the drive system.
  • Equipped with Slack Cable Control.
  • Traction Drive systems are designed to prevent cable wear and is ideal for all hill lengths.
  • Top Controls feature an up / down push button control and lock-out key. Bottom Controls feature an up / down push button control.
  • Carriage-mounted controls are hardwired and come as a standard feature for the up / down push buttons, E-stop, emergency siren and canopy light button.
  • Travel speed is 70 feet per minute.
