Model - UBH2000-C – Traction Drive

Load Capacity – 2,000 lb. Capacity

Framework – Galvanized steel posts support the power unit. The galvanized square tubing dimensions are 3-1/2” square x 5/16”. Each post is cemented into the ground.

Rail System – M8 Flange Beam galvanized or painted. The center rail width is 48”. The railing is assembled on-site and bolted together using Grade 8 bolts and is supported every 10 feet. 2” Schedule #40 pipe is galvanized and cemented into the ground. The track system is adjustable.

Spring Buffers – Compliant with Section A.17, 5.1 of the 2004 National Incline Elevator Industry Codes.

Carriage – The size of the carriage for this model is 59”W x 61”L x 84”H. It is built out of aluminum tubing and the floor is made of non-skid aluminum decking. The entire carriage is powder-coated in your choice of 4 colors: Metallic Silver, Charlie Brown, Spartan Bronze or Hunter Green; custom colors are also available. This carriage is wheelchair accessible and you also have your choice of a right or left sliding entry and exit doors. This carriage also includes an emergency siren/solar kit and canopy. Close carriage also available. Size for this model is 60”W x 60”L x 84”H. It is built out of aluminum tubing and the floor is made of non-skid aluminum decking with a bronze dome transparent canopy. The carriage is enclosed with heating and can have optional automatic doors.

Landing Gates – Size 72” long x 84” high. It is built out of aluminum tubing and perforated aluminum. Gates are powder-coated in choice of colors: Metallic Silver, Hunter Green, Charlie Brown or Spartan Bronze; custom colors are also available. Interlocks are incorporated in the gates and are UL Listed E304700 and are completely ASME A17.1 – 2004 compliant.

Cable – Two 3/8” galvanized steel aircraft cables are used. Each traction drive cable has a 14,400 lb. breaking strength.

Safety System – An over-speed governor and slack cable braking system applies pressure on the stationary cable with spring dampening.

Power Unit

  • Elevator Control Panel is UL-listed E304700 AMSI/AMSE A17.1-2000 and A17.5-1996
    Panel with Nema 4 enclosure.
  • AC Drive with 5 HP motor for soft starts and stops.
  • Drive System has a 3” Type E bearing and a 3” solid steel axle for the drive system.
  • Traction Drive systems are designed to prevent cable wear and is ideal for all hill lengths.
  • Slack Cable Control
  • Top Control features include: up, down, E-stop and lock-out key.
  • Bottom Control features include: up, down and E-stop switch
  • Carriage-mounted controls for up, down and E-stop. Hardwired controls are operated by an energy chain.
